Gene Southall: The owner of the Auto Shop. Like other business owners, he wears many hats. Gene has been repairing vehicles most of his life. He has built race vehicles, worked for Ford, AMC & GM and the last 30 years has been an independent repair shop owner. He has many certifications, including his ASE which he received in 1972. He has and continues to take master tech courses when available. He started the shop with the mind set of a customer- mechanic relationship where the customer is able to talk to the mechanic. His main responsibility is to oversee the work in the shop and maintain quality control. Also, he has to keep up with automotive computer knowledge and assist the other mechanics with their work and normal day today business activities. Gene feels although todays vehicles are hi-tech and more complicated than their predecessors, they do a fine job . Bottom line, yesterday's vehicles are fun, todays (smart cars) vehicles are very dependable and help clean the air. More is available
Richard He did a real nice job on his new Rail 2004 Nice paint Thunder Mountain is a wild and noisy place as vehicles really crank it up. On race day, you’ll probably see or hear Richard Southall a competitor. During the week, he works as an automotive technician. He is very exceptional as he is capable in most areas of automotive repair. This is uncommon because most techs are skilled in only one area. His wife and family are partners in his racing as they are his pit crew.
Connie Southall Like most woman today she is very busy. She has her hands full with the company books, antiques, and her art & collectible business. She still finds time to run her home and all those duties.
